Is there anyway to disable the "critical hit" system for pic related? Cause I heard this game features an unbalanced difficulty where enemies are bullet spongy af and can randomly kill you with one hit.

>> No.7868062

even with critical hits its not that hard. play it has it is.

Bitch you haven't even played it. You watched the Civvie video. I beat Shogo on a three day weekend when I was in 5th grade, if you can't handle it then you deserve to lose.

Come on anon, is it really that hard for ya to answer the simple question without making a butthurt rant about it?
I just wanna play some mindless corridor shooter without dealing with janky mechanics.

Just don't play on Hard mode and don't rush around corners like a spastic and it's fine. Hard mode in Lithtec engine games is extremely retarded.

As far as I know there's no way to disable the critical hit system. You'll get one-shotted a handful of times in a normal playthrough, but it isn't a dealbreaker by any means. You don't need to savescum either, but there's nothing wrong with quicksaving occasionally.

The real important thing to note is that there is a choice near the end of the game that determines what the final levels are. Make a separate save once you start the stage in the History of Warfare Museum, so you don't have to play the game all over again to try the other path.

Isn't the source code for this available publicly?
Surprised noone has tried to make an enchanced version of the game that fixes some of the utter bullshit it's filled with

It's to cherrypick about how the critical hit system is 'unfair'. Meanwhile, it's a bunch of bullshit for the very reason you describe.

Enemies should be reasonably predictable. They should never randomly turn 180 degrees and shoot you in the same frame.
Not everything hard is good. Would SMB be improved if there were no mushrooms or fireflowers and you were only small Mario?
