I actually played this when it was relevant, I remember dropping it pretty fast because of how fucking wonky it felt. Turning, jumping, it's just terrible. Distinctly I think because I got to play Ape Escape soon after and a bunch of other games with semi-decen controls. I like the music though.

Funny enough, croc on the ps1 seems to be the first game with modern dual analog controls. I don't think any before had it so the left stick moved you and the right stick rotated the camera. Pretty novel, even if it took some time for the idea to really catch on.
