What's the best way to play Centipede without a trackball? Is the Genesis controller good for it? What's the best port?

Atari 2600 version is designed for digital control and plays like a fucking dream. I actually like it better than the arcade game.

Try the Atari computer version
It's designed for digital sticks and plays well

A mouse would be close to a trackball wouldn’t it?

>> No.7847130

I personally like the C64 and IBM versions the best but the latter has no joystick support and I'm not a fan of bashing my space bar to death.

It's quite good too, but I prefer the 2600 version mechanically

What do you mean?
They function the same, I mean you can even get a mouse with a trackball on it if you wanted

Close but superior. So much so I'd consider it cheating.
