even if you upgrade with a V20 and a VGA Wonder or even any Hercules compatible card that's faster than the original, max out the RAM, might have some more fun with flight simulator but thats it

Maniac Mansion doesn't really support composite mode, this has been debunked. what it does it set normal CGA mode and use the Tandy graphics data instead. it's believed that someone at LucasArts heard somewhere that composite mode was 160x200 resolution and just assumed it worked like Tandy mode 8.
