Why does Nintendo still bring up the Virtual Boy from time to time? They happily bury every other failure and disaster they’ve ever had but they are more then ok to meme on themselves when it comes to the Virtual Boy.

As a product it wasn't even bad the only tech fault were the red leds and the fact it wasn't actually portable, at all.

because they know how much of an absolute hose job they got hit with back then. same thing with the 3ds today. stupid soccer moms across earth all said " my eyeball feels like i took a bunch xanex and wine" (because they did) and ruined now two great devices.

The only disaster that I can really think of that they bury is the CD-I which I can get because another company was involved in that and the games they produced was so obviously low quality
The Virtual Boy's games weren't near as bad, they just had that harsh red palette lol

Could this thing be strapped to your head to make it slightly less painful to use? I can't see how you're supposed to play it comfortably for more than 10 minutes.

I owned one as a kid.
I remember enjoying it for the most part.
My neighbor even had one next door.

It saddens me that they cost a fortune now so I can't relive the nostalgia of playing one.
$350 is a bit to much for me when I could buy a modern day VR headset for that

I attached mine to a bicycle helmet after the legs broke, worked great.

having it strapped to your head for a while would probably hurt your neck. I used to lie down on my back and just balance it over my face.
