I'm sorry but I can't see puzzle solving as one of the strong points of the RE franchise

>> No.7833536

Sum of its parts. No one is firing up RE to put some medalions in place.

This. The puzzle elements of the early RE games were there mainly because that’s what adventure games were “supposed” to be at that time.

It also keeps the game from being too repetitive.

the only interesting 'puzzle' in RE is juggling your inventory and figuring out the most efficient route to avoid backtracking, the puzzles themselves are almost kind of insulting, like 1st grade homework.

>these puzzles are offensive to my intellect and high IQ
No wonder these were dropped from later titles. Collecting items is fun, puzzles aren't. If you want puzzles, play Myst, Professor Layton, other adventures or whatever the fuck.

Of course, puzzles are only good as far as you can solve them. Play SH on Hard riddle level, especially 3 if you're so bigbrained. Then come back and whine about how SH3 puzzles are "badly designed".

Same as with puzzles in any non-puzzle game (except for Silent Hill)

Pipe fucking puzzle from Dino Crisis. It's not "smart" or anything just hilarious how it annoys up.

it's a great puzzle that takes logic, so are the crane puzzles. also they actually make sense with the game world and realism, whereas RE games have to try and explain their puzzles in bullshit ways in files

The DDK codes were far worse.

Only Resident Evil retards do this.

>> No.7836248

The majority of things people call puzzles in RE games are just keys by another name. Each game only has two or three real puzzles if that.

>> No.7836281

>>7835534
getting filtered by the DDK puzzles is a sign of low IQ and/or dyslexia.

To guess someone's IQ by a post of 6(six) words is sign of low IQ and/or autism.

Shooting zombies in those games were boring, you would end up without bullets too fast. But avoiding is quite easy, so you could just avoid those zombie(one or other place you were forced to kill them). Now, if there was no puzzles, the game would be quite boring since you could only "avoid enemies" or "shoot enemies". The puzzles gives something more to the game, it makes them great.

SH puzzles are well-designed. Sure, some of them are hard. But theyre not hard due to being unintuitive.

its not your fault you were born retarded, but it is your fault you don't accept it
