ZDL is all right. It's what I usually use, but now I'm trying out Doom Launcher.

When I was a kid, I didn't know that you could drag WADs onto the ZDoom executable via Explorer to open them, so I did it manually via the command line. Things are so much easier now.

Protip: don't use Doom 95

On Linux you can just open the terminal, write the name of the port, -file and drag and drop the wads in the order you want them to be loaded
I haven't bothered with loaders in a long time

Why haven't you switched over to DooM Explorer?

>full of stupid little bugs
>demos recording doesn't work
>wrong aspect ratio so everything is squashed horizontally
>mouse support is nonexistent in any OS after Windows 98
>multiplayer doesn't work on any newer OS either
>also many video modes aren't supported with newer machines
What you want is Crispy Doom and then something like Doom Launcher.

This was the best thing about Doom95

>> No.7823783

I just have a good [doom.Autoload] list and a folder with shortcuts to gzdoom.exe. Add something like 'freelook 0' to autoexec.cfg and then you can simply add '+set freelook 1' to the arguments of any wads that require it.

Rocket Launcher 2 for me.
