Have you ever tried playing two or more retro games at the exact same time?

>> No.7805160

I used to dual weild duck hunt on two tvs

>> No.7805163

"playing two" is questionable, but when I was in college I got into playing Elite and in quiet systems I'd point the ship towards the station, enable the jump drive, and just play stuff on GBA until I got there or something else activated the proximity alarm.

I have a schedule that I adhere to when it comes to retro games

...are you talking about like literally playing the games at the same exact time, like controlling both games at the same time? Or just having multiple games in progress but only actively playing one game at any given moment

>> No.7805680

>>7805571
Yeah, controlling both at the same time, trying to progress through both games, mainly focusing on one at a time while glancing at the other making sure you're not dying or getting hurt.
Tried it for like an hour with Spyro 2 and 3, most of the time the game i wasn't focused on had him just walking and jumping against the walls

>>7805018
No because thats fucking retarded

>>7805680
I've thought about trying to do this with remakes or remasters before, but most games like this tend to be RPGs so the random element these games have would desync them super quick

>Yeah, controlling both at the same time, trying to progress through both games
Sounds retarded as fuck.

>> No.7806137

no because i'm not some retarded twitch streamer fishing for attention

I used to play Pokemon on the Gameboy while doing Endless mode in DDR, because Heavy mode had a few songs that would destroy me if they came up so I could only do Endless on standard.

I remember a once playing a game with my brother on a tv where the tv gave an option to display 2 seperate signals splited over the screen
I was playing fable which was squashed on the left part and can't really remember what game my brother was playing but it was something on the ps2

Is it just me, or is /vr/ extra stupid today?
Was it spaghetti day in the cafeteria?

Yep, played NES Galaga on a TV and on a cheap handheld at the same time the other day, more entertaining than I thought it would be

Quit hogging the P2 controller, bro!

I did once unintentionally when I was playing the steam version of FF7 a few years ago. I opened it twice without noticing and played it for an hour and a half while the other version was also accepting my controls.

When I closed the version I knew I was playing I was greeted to Cloud (named CloudAA) in the middle of a fight on the first screen of the Mako Reactor at the start of the game. I was surprised the game was reading the input from the controller and I was somehow able to start a game and end up here without seeing anything. I wonder where it would've ended up if I played it for five hours or so.

>> No.7810740

I used to with jrpgs. One on console and one on handheld.

>> No.7810748

>>7810138
I hope you continued playing like that for the rest of your playthrough. You didn't leave CloudAA's world to die, did you?

>> No.7811315

Came to post this, I would sometimes level grind in handheld and console games at the same time

the p2 controller? are you re retarted or something?

>> No.7811664

>>7810748
I actually did go and make a save after it happened but didn't play it again. I doubt you could finish FF7 blind in a casual playthrough of random inputs.
