Do you think there's any hidden treasures here? Like beta versions of old video games? Or has all that shit been destroyed?

>> No.7798062

No value for keeping pointless betas. The final product is out, why horde junk?

Do you honestly expect it to have anything other than offices and suits walking around?

Didn't we have this thread a few days ago, except mentioning Earthbound 64?

We know there is, thanks to the gigaleak. If all that development material reaching as far back as Mario World was just sitting around on some chingchong server, just imagine what they actually have stored in their actual archives.

ye. That spaceworld 97 gold/silver beta came from some guy hacking Nintendo.

Have you not seen the giga leaks? The game center CX movie? All the stories about them sending brand new original game boys to old Japanese grandma's? They save everything. The "Nintendo doesn't preserve things only Frank Cifaldi and Internet pirates do" meme has been disproven so many times in recent years it's getting fucking old.

>> No.7799306

>>7798062
Doesn't Nintendo have an archive of every officially released game published on their hardware? I know i read that somewhere. If true, they seem like the one company that would have hoarded a copy of everything they had a hand in.

>> No.7799404

>>7799306
They do, they're called lot checks and some of them were in the giga leaks.

So is it just a text list of titles or do they have an actual rom collection/physical collection of every title? I remember seeing a tour of i think bandainamco and they had a physical store room full of games from different platforms, many i think from other companies

Actual rom collections PLUS physical collections. The FDS lotcheck leak included pics of all their master discs.

none
>Or has all that shit been destroyed?
did you ever wonder why nintendo was using roms ripped off of the internet in their own software and devices? it's not because it's more convenient. nintendo have no way to recompile or build their own software from certain time periods anymore. a lot of these corporations used to systematically wipe shit from their systems once a project was completed. most anyone can hope for is that they kept backup tapes but signs point to a big fat NO. it's all gone.

>> No.7799472

>>7798393
the gigaleak was a scrape of a server that was someone's junk backup of a certain time period and contained more garbage than actual useful material. and no, precompiled and half finished prototype games don't matter - never have, never will. the only important things in that weak "gigaleak" were all the confidential documents.

Were you living under a rock last year?

>using roms ripped off of the internet
Also, stop spreading that. Even frank cuckaldi(the one who spouted that bs in the first place) has walked back on it.

Go figure Nintendo would be the one company smart enough to keep their shit (for the most part).

>a server that was someone's junk backup of a certain time period
Wrong. wack0 had basically unrestricted access to Nintendo's servers. Some of the stuff he leaked was active git repos(like the 3DS MCU code that had commits up to his access date) and up-to-date(at the time) builds of SWSH and LGPE. He probably got TBs and TBs of stuff but wasn't able to sort through/distribute it before he got arrested.

did nintendo invent the iNES header used in the roms found in their rereleases?
> no
damn. that's a shame. you need to face the facts that nintendo is run by dangerously incompetent morons

>>7799476
>Wrong. wack0 had basically unrestricted access to Nintendo's servers
speaking of morons, this retard still never presented any proof of this - AT ALL. still waiting for proof and these many terabytes.
pro-tip: there is absolutely nothing else left.
>but wasn't able to sort through/distribute it before he got arrested.
you really are a stupid and gullible fucking moron.

>iNES header
Go do some research and see who developed the NES emulators Nintendo used in the early days. Tomohiro Kawase. Who is credited in releases of the iNes emulator? Tomohiro Kawase. He was familiar with the header and used it. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out(I guess in your case, it does). Nintendo's full NES lotcheck leaked out. It's all there, why would they need to pirate roms? But for ease of emulation, a header is useful and why reinvent the wheel?

Straight from the court info

>went on to hack into Nintendo’s internal network in March last year.
>gained access through Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and used similar software to hack into Nintendo’s highly confidential game development servers

Also, if you try to claim that's not him then don't bother. Back in 2018 he posted a hash of one of the files he stole under an easily searchable alias.

That hash is of the pokemon gen 1 source archive and he posted that while he still had access(which was march-may 2018).

People have already disproved your bullshit, but way to ignore the release of multiple lot check ROM sets for NES, SNES (I think), FDS, etc.
I guess ignoring facts when they don't align with your obvious frothing hate for Nintendo makes sense, though.

Wait I know they move hq to somewhere else with those newly planted trees andnsolar panels in a line across a sidewalk facing empty field and parking lot but what happened to this old location?

Is it just sitting there abandoned? I never really liked this HQ because it looks like a prison in the middle of an industrial park.

That show was kino. Do you have any recommendations for business/office anime/manga? I liked Time Taxi
