This company can’t make a decent feeling controller for shit. It performs passably but I can’t enjoy it because it just feels incredibly cheap and terrible. The cheap plastic and poor trigger fit are the worst offenders. The analog stick also has a weird bit of grittiness/bumpiness in the bottom of it on the unit I received. It feels objectively awful. Third party controllers will never change.
It’s really nice that your controller comes in a nice box with keychains and stickers and shit but the controller itself, this zoomerpad that I foolishly paid for, is terrible.

Overpriced and overrated as fuck.
It feels bulky compared to any regular 6-button controller, and the force feedback is pointless since you're going to be using the controller for fightan games. It's also awkward to have the VMU stick out the way it does.
If you absolutely must have a controller for fightan games on the DC, just get a Total Control 3 + Saturn controller, or just use an arcade stick.

Later I bought a Mad Catz Dream Pad because it looked good online and so far it's the best Dreamcast controller I've used for most games.
Later I saw Adam Koralik made a video asserting the Dream Pad is a piece of shit and the Dream Master is better because he is an alien with no sense of touch and is unskilled at imitating human thought patterns.

This was the first PC gaming controller that my family owned. I remember it being a pain in the ass just getting it to work at all with any game. Plus, it felt wonky and not super responsive in the rare times when it did work

Growing up since Atari 2600 days I never understood how all these 3rd party controllers were so fucked. There were good ones but no one I knew growing up ever owned one. Did the people creating these devices even play video games?

Madcatz dreamcast pads had a hard rubber coating over the buttons that made it impossible to mash or slide your fingers across without great discomfort. What were they thinking?

A bit odd, but my favorite controller. Unbelievably, the analog stick is better than first party, even when they were new.

They're more durable but I wouldn't say they're technically better. They don't hit the same ranges and they have a differently shaped gate compared to the original controllers. I do think these are good, perfectly acceptable N64 controllers but the form factor is downright retarded. All considered it's typical third party affair with one huge advantage - its durability.

So it turns out that Valve did not actually invent the concept of a touchpad controller after all.

I think it belongs here. The touchpad controller did not work with me very well. It felt a bit cheap, and it did not seem to work with many games that did not use the Steam client. Maybe somebody has created a workaround program but I don't want to risk bricking my Steam controller as I sometimes pop it out every now and then. Maybe one day I'll give such programs a go, but that may never happen.

I was also hesitant of using the buttons that involved pressing the back buttons that were situated very close to where the batteries would be stored. Its all one plastic panel, and I worry that it would eventually break.

the steam input thing literally allows you to make a "universal" preset that works with all non steam games, you can also add any .exe into steam and make a custom preset for it

It doesn't take tard strength it takes anything past toddler strength as the rocker is as thin as a piece of fuckin cereal box cardboard and its a cross shape not very solid so one of the shitty little wings is bound to break off. They're trash.
