People have claimed success with artifact-colors but it doesn't work for me, I guess it's one of those cases where it depends on your computer specs. Fitting because your mileage will vary a lot on real hardware, right down to what Genesis model you had.
For me, the shaders in the NTSC folder gets me slight rainbows that are noticeable when you move but nothing painfully obvious.

I realized that it's better to just use a composite filter and drop the "CRT" aspect altogether. Now my NES games look like AVGN capture footage, and I find it extremely appealing.

yes it is, mainly because you can combine other effects into it to get more color and halation over it, or other effects.
also Retroarch LUT works on Reshade since day 1 due to partnership, and its easy to copy the RA presets into CRTroyale reshade and even improve it from there using the source code numbers.
