Why is this and the first DS harvest moon the best games in the series? All games before these 2 were boring/small scale, and all games after were garbage. The series had so much potential.

Are there any other ones worth playing?

SNES one has the best graphics, but the two last season/months are really "nothing to do the game", sadly. The gba is really the best game.

The Doraemon one was fucking great, not /vr/ though.

I tried to play these games and it just felt so fucking lame. It's one of the worst genres. Same with The Sims.

I mean, it's literally just a GBA port of the Playstation game, so how can Back to Nature be boring or small scale compared to its remake?

That's the other one "More Friends of Mineral Town" which is the girl version of pic related. Harvest Moon: FoTM is just basically a farmer simulator and many people in developing country would easily relate to. I still wonder how people "finished" this though, I have played it a couple of time and always got bored by the time I got into years 3 or 4.

As far as /vr/ games go, Harvest Moon 64 was the only one to captivate me, but I can't give a good reason why. I tried the one on ps1 and kind of liked it because it reminded me of a revamped version of harvest moon 64, but that was the main reason why I lost interest. I pretty much had already played the game on n64. I tried one on the 3ds and it just didn't click. Mainly because you didn't have as much control on where and how you wanted to grow your plants or how to set up your plot of land. On harvest moon 64 the plot was expansive and you could do whatever, wherever.

I literally havent played any version of the actual main stream mineral town/64 game, so to me the best harvest moon/story of seasons would be a hypothetical game with the artstyle & immersion of AWL but the QoL & glut of content & things to do from MM. but again those are the only ones I've played.
Always wondered how far out of touch I am compared to real fans who've played more of the series. I know the characters get shuffled around in some games like between 64, MM & the PS1 game, like Grey is in all 3 and a different person in all 3 I'm pretty sure.

Usually, that means getting every crop + item + maxed out everything and going from there. It's a perennial problem of most farming simulator games to not have enough content past the first few years without coming off as a repetitive cycle, especially in regards to dialogue.

Real not fake:
>took HMDS fresh out of the brand new packaging

I had it as a kid and the translation errors were funny but not gamebreaking, and i never encountered the famous glitches that ruin the game. Also emulating solves that problem too. HMDD is just the gba one but better so I still view it as a net gain. Played it so many times
