So I know minis aren't popular here, but I got a second hand pic related for my nephews and it didn't have the power cable. Can I just use any cell phone charger for it? Seems to just be a USB one but I wanted to ask.

Yes. I use one all the time. It works just fine. You can even plug it into a USB port of your PC or HDTV and it would work.

Ignore the indecency. Any 5V 2A USB adaptor will do. It should only draw the current it needs so you can't have too many amps, but too few and it won't power on. Avoid Mac chargers or other chargers with high power delivery, they can blow low power chips as they output ~14v.

I like the genesis mini. It perfectly combines the convenience of a rom loader with the option of playing with original carts and controllers. I wish more mini consoles followed this direction. Was upset that the TG16 mini didn't take original hucards.

Anyway I bought one for my niece. I think mine came with the charger though? It was just a USB if memory serves so I'm pretty sure you can just go for it with whatever fits and supplies enough power.
