Seasons or Ages

You're gonna play both anyway, but depends on whether you want the game leaning more on combat (Seasons) or puzzles (Ages).

I thought they were mostly the same?

I found both to be really boring to play. I don't think capcom was putting much effort into these.

It's better than the other Capcom's Zelda game: Minish Cap. If not for those boring stone minigame, it would be a great game.

I'm thinking people just play these games because their name.

It usually tends to be like that. In fact, I'm 100% sure Nintendo knows that and whenever they have some interesting idea for some new game, they just slap Mario on top of it to increase the sales of the game.

>> No.7744017

Both are good but Seasons is better. After the Crown Dungeon Ages botches its pacing with a bunch of bad minigames in a row just to get into the next dungeon which is honestly the best in the game.

Best order is Seasons>Ages so you get to play the Donkey Kong sequence.

Ages
Reason: Switch hook best hook

I find this to be a really unfortunate approach, kills creativity in the medium.

Both for the ultimate adventure.

>> No.7744690

The expanded Hero's Cave dungeon you get in each version's linked game is great. Also I really love the ring system, helps the replay value (something Minish Cap had zilch of)

Ages is better after Seasons is better after Link's Awakening (non-DX).

I was under the impression that Seasons was the preferred one of the two. I had Ages though.

Questions like this make me wonder if people actually play video games, or just sit around on boards thinking about playing video games.

The answer is both

>> No.7745118

Seasons linked into Ages then linked into Seasons again

>> No.7745119

I would say Ages if the Goron dance didn't exist

>> No.7745120

>>7745097
In my experience, people liked ages more. Something about being the artsier game of the two.

Ages. Because I want to fuck Nayru. Din is cool too though.

>> No.7745203

Same general system but Seasons leans more into combat while Ages leans more into puzzles. Ideally you play Seasons first and then you play Ages (that's the technically canonical order) so that you get a good grasp of the mechanics in Seasons and then work your noggin in Ages.

Bad advice. Ages first, since it's a fuller-feeling game on its own. The mechanics are easy to pick-up in either game, so that doesn't make a difference. Some of the coolest items ever are in Seasons, so it will not only feel easier but will also feel more of a logical progression.
