me neither

I never knew this but Disney was the parent company to the studio that released the movie. That explains that.

How would you even make a game out of that movie? And also calling it horror was a stretch, it's just some spiders.

Disney wants you to forget that they even allowed a TV series.

I never knew this got a game but the movie was clearly a comedy.

I remember as a kid watching the movie, I imaged a video game adaption where you had to fight the final spider at the end without breaking the expensive wine bottle. I never realized there actually was a video game adaption.

Yeah, I do, because I lived through it, Zoomer. I was really young and I remember born again Christians boycotting the theaters that showed the movie because they didn't like that Disney made a scary movie.

Remember how Zoomies have no idea of history or common sense because the education system turned from good, to shit, to propagana? Cause I'm reminded of it everyday.

ah yes, because a strong education in "history" and "common sense" has everything to do with remembering minor details about d-list disney movies nobody remembers or cares about. please find something less inane to try to be condescending about next time

Yep, history and a common sense knowledge of pop culture. It's how I know things like the Kentucky Fried Movie, 60s surf movies, 50s cowboy flicks, and others exist while not living during them, but you are shocked about a movie that was literally produced by Steven Spielberg.

While you are totally unaware, there has been an idea since the Socratic method that you should not just teach people simple facts, but also methods of introspection and self discovery to find out answers on your own. It's pretty much the whole idea of what a "Renaissance Man" is or what liberal arts are. It's the foundation of the scientific method, debate, and modern thought.

Got any more one line quips that expose you as a brainlet, Zoomie?

I don't really agree that the Socratic method or Renaissance thinking was the result of corporations for obvious reasons.

I wasn't saying that knowing common sense made a person an intellectual. My point was that common sense is a basic or "common" form of intelligence. Regardless, it still flew right above your head didn't it?

You also aren't going to make me insecure about my intelligence. I literally have a doctorate and several published works in my field. A couple of them are cited with some frequency. I think that qualifies me as an intellectual by definition.

You're actually so bad at arguing it's slightly depressing. I was kind of making a sarcastic comment about your obvious post, but now it's becoming clearer that you just aren't very bright.

Oh yeah, because Disney would NEVER do that (pic related).
Because Spielberg NEVER made anything scary before, like Temple of Doom.
You are the dippiest of dipshits.
Also, I was working at a movie theater playing Arachnophobia. This never happened to one theater in our (nationwide) chain. We'd have heard about it.

I'm not agreeing with the Born Again Christians, I was just saying it happened.

Odd that you claim to be old enough to work at a theatre, but didn't deny being Gen Z earlier. Also, this was definitely a controversy. I can remember the small theatre that I saw it at had a person outside to check if a person was old enough or with a guardian because of the backlash. It would be something that you would remember if you were as old as you claim.

I'm done. This is beyond sad now.

Not the person you are responding to, but they made a lot of horror movies. Old Yeller, The Black Hole, The Watcher in the Woods, Return to Oz, Flight of the Navigator, and The Apple Dumpling Gang. But he is correct that the crazy side of the Christians were in an uproar because the Disney name was on a horror movie. Again. I remember my pastor talking about it, and saying he didn't see what the problem was. He even said it was relatively family friendly as far as horror movies went. They weren't protesting at theaters, but there was pearl clutching.
