Do you guys enjoy such games as Mega Twins, Wonder Boy, Wardner, and Joe & Mac? They are fraught with peril compared to most console platforming games.

Toki is another good one.

Weird how with shmups, run n guns, and overhead shooters they their hardcore nature on the console while platformers started to get soft from the 16 bit era onwards.
