The cable doesn't go anywhere.
>coffee-table
raised/lowered sections to bump glasses into/spill.
holes for said buttons to stick out.
contains electronics.
3/10 would pawn off on some hipster idiot

Seriously, that's a shitty coffee table. Interesting 'art' piece, or something, but completely unusable.

That is a shit-tier coffee table that tries to pass itself off with nostalgia and lolsoretroXD.

I always liked the idea of a NES PC, thought of putting one together for a while, using a broken nes from a flea market or something. Could use it has a HTPC/emulatebox. Anyone have experience with one?

..I think its a cooler, or at least I hope it is one.

I'm guessing this based on the handle to the left.
if it isn't thou then I agree, its a shitty piece of furniture.

The buttons are still raised, which bring up issues.

A coffee table should be flat.

There's a glass pane over it.
>>766669
That's some nicely-stained wood, though I would've preferred they used more natural colors. And I hate edged glass just sticking out, it looks tacky. +1 for actual functional table, though.

Would any of you pay for a coffee table with a shit ton of consoles built in?
I dont mean just an NES either, I mean like 2600, N64, SNES, Genesis (w/32x & Sega CD if I can find it), Saturn, Dreamcast, etc... as well.
If you would buy it, would you want a TV inside it (recessed underneath a glass top, like the arcade machines in bar's), or would you prefer it to hook up to a separate TV?

Pic related, except without the arcade controls (or not).

>>766879
if i had the money, that would be awesome. also, if you're going through the trouble of building one, you might at well have the option of both.

I'd like the TV inside it but would probably also prefer to have some port out for the occasions where I wouldn't want to hunch over my table, but I only say that because I have a terrible back

Naw, I like to emulate everything on my PC. I'd love for a coffee table with a built in arcade stick though.

I forgot to add that it has two end tables that are NES carts and the controller ports on the NES are power outlets.

It goes into the ground and over to the entertainment center.

nah I'm fucking with ya, I think it's just a coffee table that opens up.

Well, I personally would fucking love to have one. My idea was to use my own consoles to build one, see if anyone wanted to buy it, and use the money I got to buy a new set of consoles and make a bit of extra cash on the side (so I could keep making them if there was enough interest locally). Basically that spot in my pic where the arcade stuff goes, would be where the controller ports, CD/DVD drives, and cartridge slots would be placed. That way you wouldn't have to worry about spilling shit inside them, and you could have a simple door/flap to cover them up when other people come over (assuming you don't want them to play any of your games) The only issue I can foresee having, is figuring out how/where to put flip top CD consoles at. Top loading cartridge consoles (like the SNES) would only need some sort of extension cord leading to the side, which would be easy to make, would allow you to play imports, and would ensure that you pretty much always have a good connection from cart>console. Or alternatively, you could have a panel on the top of the table that swings out on a hinge. Then when you don't want to play any games, you just remove the cart(s) and cover everything back up.

On top of all that, It would have drawers underneath to store all your games. It'd be like a 30-in-1, possibly more if I can find other shit to cram in there. Fuck man, I need to get some measurements and draw up some plans for one of these.

Anyone know where I can get exact measurements of every major system since the 2600? Does wikipedia have that kind of info?

I know. But I wanted full color, and took some artistic merit with the color schemes.

That NES controller and Samus are tits though
