TREASURE MASTER for the NES!

The game arrives in the later part of 1991 giving you plenty of time to master it. Why? Because come April 11, 1992, MTV will broadcast a special password which you will use to not only finish the game but finish a special "bonus" level. Obtain the code at the end of it all and call a special number to win a chance at prizes, like a Super Nintendo.

Much like the Rally 50 Roadblasters Arcade T-Shirt, there isn't a lot of information on who won what, etc...

Stephen Ruddy, programmer for the game, claims there is a second prize world. Reddit (yeah, I know) has tried there hand at hacking the game and made little progress. (1)
According to this site (2), Nintendo has claimed that the game was unhackable, even using a Game Genie.

Has anyone on /vr/ heard of this game before? I never did growing up.
