It took me years before I found out this was even supposed to be a Jaleco all-stars game. A lot of the characters are pretty deep cuts.

It's weird that KoF WAS one but stopped being one over time, and later SNK makes all star games that aren't KoF but include loads of KoF characters and the characters it has from other series as if KoF is something other than that already.

What's really weird is that even after it moved from being an all-star series, they'd still randomly toss in someone like Maxima from Robo Army just to remind you it was a crossover series.
