Damn it, Blake makes awesome work, but I hate that some of his stuff is now buy only. Has it always been this way? I remember him just uploading a bunch of video game pieces to Youtube, and even though he still does that it feels like the best stuff is now buy only.

Which I guess makes a lot of sense, but I'm not willing to shell out cash for something like this. I'm sure others are, but I'm pretty stingy with money. And I'm not even Jewish. I can't begin to imagine how I'd be with money if I was.

I've been hyping this album since it was announced, but since it came out I've had absolutely no money to buy it with ;_;
I also recommend Super Metroid Symphony by the same guy, and he's also done a lot of other video game stuff (Sonic, Animal Crossing, assorted Mario/Zelda songs), I love it.
Dummeh on youtube, I think.

>> No.750365

I'd say at least SMS and Banjo Symphony (Which is fucking beautiful by the way, I've been waiting forever for this) are worth the money, he has a lot of other assorted video game remix albums but nothing that interests me so much that I'd spend more than a few bucks on it.

>It never ceases to amaze me how many people still listen to the music from the Banjo games after all these years, it really is very humbling.

>When i started to write the music for the game i was just trying to write something along the lines of a Mario game, since Mario 64 had just come out and it was the bench mark for a platform game. The first tune i wrote was Click Clock Woods (Spring version) although it wasn't called that then, i was just trying to write a jolly tune that i thought would fit in a jolly platformer!
