Is this, dare I say, a hidden gem?

This was the first game that made me damage a controller. The rubber on my ds4 analog stick started coming off from ninja running during boss fights. Had to slap on some rubber analog caps to save them.

Sucks compared to any of the 2D Shinobis... well, except the Master System one, anyway.

Did you say 'Hidden Gem"?

>> No.7480497

I completely forgot about this game, it's pretty fun. At least it was when I played it last like uh 15 years ago

>> No.7480578

It was fun until you get to the final boss and it becomes a rhythm game.

>> No.7480873

It's got some really great elements, and it's absolutely the best Dororo game we'll ever get. It's also just kind of simple. You've got a few tools and different swords and all of that stuff, but it's still just mashing out X combos on very simple enemies for the most of it. It also has a habit of dragging things out. That fucking crazed swordsman boss that takes place through like 5 different fights is a slog and would be infinitely cooler if it was just two.

Also killing demons for body parts which equals buffs is a great concept, but you'll get a lot of +5 hp or some internal organs that don't actually do anything until you get the rest of them.

It's a nice game but backtracking to fight the others fiends and collect the body parts, swords and scrolls was not fun. Dodoro segments could've been better if not for the horrid camera angles.

Better than dmc 1 and 2.

But tie with the third game. not that this is a big deal

>> No.7481706

it wasnt a rythm game at all my dude, you are misremembering it. it was more like Ninja Gaiden, a boss that had multiple forms each requiring a different strategy and every time you fuck up you got to do the whole thing again

>> No.7481709

>>7480873
the boss fights, which is the majority of this game, are definately not just mashing buttons
