I did this in the leadup to Mario Kart 8. I think the best Mario Kart game is probably Mario Kart DS. A re-release of that game designed to work on one screen would be badass but will probably never happen.

As a kid it blew my mind when somehow I unlocked the ghost racers in time trial. Does the manual even mention it? I feel like it does not. The ghost racers are the runs of the devs or play testers.

I only ever owned Double Dash. I beat everything except the last 150cc marathon race where you have to beat every track in a row to get the cup and I just dropped it completey without even trying.

Years later I decided to play it out the blue and thought what the hell why not just do the last cup right off the bat and I did it with little issue. That was weird. Definitely had a lot of trouble with it back when I played it a lot.
