Omg, I hate the underwater part, I've turned the music on the game off and I'm playing Demi Lovato over the top of the game.

Although I think Aquatic Ruin is easier than Chemical Plant, onto Casino Night now!

I got through it!! I completely cheesed it though, I couldn't really see what was going on.

I found Casino Night to be the most random stage so far, I kept getting crushed and I couldn't even see why.

Ok so next is Hill Top? It looks hard already :(

yeah, it's a hard zone. the only other hard zone in the game is metropolis, and it's really really rough. sonic 2 is great. hope you enjoy getting farther next time

back in the day Sonic was considered braindead easy. stop playing it like you would mario or megaman, approach it like you would a fighting game. you kinda have to "learn" sonic. take your time and learn how the physics work, and how you can use them to your advantage. you don't need to be going fast all the time, you just think you do. but you can finish the game by walking the whole way if you really wanted to. the speed is for subsequent playthroughs.

Chemical Plant was a little tough when I was first playing it as a kid in the 90s. I kept wanting to go fast but then those sections are there to punish you for it and you fall down into the chemical water and have to work your way back up. Also that one spot underwater where you need to do slow jumps on moving blocks to get back up takes just enough time to drown you if you aren't efficient about it.
