It didn't need to be a dungeon in order for the game to be complete. This part was fun. The game had enough dungeons. Let it go. You can't hold this against Wind Waker for ever. The game must be judged on its merits and not your feelings.

I've never heard a complaint about this part, even from the most egregious of ADHD children looking for reasons to hate WW. The island was totally, ominously destroyed and a storm surrounded it. I thought that was more interesting than a dungeon.

The lack of dungeons isn't a problem, the fact that they're mediocre is

I complain about it. Because it's a blatantly obvious excuse for cut content. Even as a kid when I played it I was puzzled and disappointed wondering where the third dungeon went. If they wanted to go the "destroyed island" route, they could have actually made it possible to explore the destroyed island and the destroyed buildings on it. But you can't explore jack shit because they never made jack shit in the first place. They just ran out of time and made a bunch of jagged polygons sticking out of the water and said "uhhhh... yeah... that right there is a destroyed island"

Nothing happens after doing Forsaken Fortress again and the final ""dungeon"" is trash with a braindead boomerang puzzle, the only notable thing about the second half of Wind Waker is how it has the record for having absolutely nothing cool to do 30 minutes after getting the master sword compared to any other game.
