I prefer using dosbox staging, but the dosbox core on cringearch unironically has the best performance out of all the forks I tried, its specially good on 3d games that only have software rendering
dosbox svn daum is outdated as fuck but I still use it for 3dfx shit
I heard dosbox-x is also good but personally it hasn't worked specially great for me
