This game was very SOUL. I was blown away when I moved on straight away to HL2 and how bland it was.

I look forward to replaying the first one again someday, though I'd probably skip the expansion packs.

Why do people do this, how am I supposed to know what game this is?

>> No.7435549

>>7435438
If you had read the file name, you'd realize that the game is called Half-Life small 443. You aren't saying you don't know a video game series that has over four hundred entries, right anon?

Because it's an 18+ site.

What happened to putting stuff like this in video games? Nowadays people are used to such a lack of detail and life in a game that they jizz their pants over shit like the enemies actually having to reload their guns.

>> No.7437538

>>7437413
Because developers nowadays know that you don't need to put effort into attention to detail, so they inundate the player with the latest API features like ray tracing and it simply ends up being just good enough.

hl source was fine for what it was. it gave a good sense of continuity with hl2. now it's legitimately broken though.

>> No.7437774

>>7437771
Yup, both HL: Source and HL2 are now broken forever, sadly. Too bad the mod that restored HL2 to pre-2007 Source Engine update is long gone from the internet.

what the fuck do you think that has to do with anything?

They still do anon. They're just much more subtle. I remember GTA5 having ludicrous amounts of tiny details.

And to think it was still a massive downgrade from IV.
