For some reason I can't get into Gunstar Heroes like I can with their other games even though I really like other run 'n guns like Contra and Metal Slug.

Probably because of the fact that it has more bad stages than good, and the weapons are pretty poorly balanced (only a couple combinations are viable on harder difficulties whilst the rest are useless).
