let's try it again, now with actually working link.

More than 100 classic Amiga games, made runnable with double click, no additional emulators needed, kickstarts, fiddling with disk images. Just run and play. Done by crafty hackers and amiga lovers @ thecompany.

Link:

https://mega.co.nz/#!W8YWDSpC!IYFqAQpG2MfCcaGHMo_2lXt1Url1uWIP9ytIZ1vQnc8

compatible with Win XP/7/8

Press F12 to display the setup screen, you'll probably need to go there to change some video/audio stuff if your PC doesn't like graphical filters (just select null filter).
You can also make a savestate and load one here.
DEL immediately closes the game.

Have fun! Next compilation I'll prepare will be with 80's MSDOS games. Probably.

Also, general Amiga thread.

i didn't, thecompany did. they use some kind of custom, development version of WinUAE engine which they bind with diskimage, configure each emu so the game works perfectly, add custom loader/frontend and then bind all files together.
they have an official forum and website, where they from time to time release new games, but progress is slow and list of requested games is loooong. i personally wait for their release of disposable hero and katakis, but well, there's a lot to enjoy nonetheless.

I can't try them at the moment, but I take it the .exes still have load times and such? Would it be safer to use the fast forward function to speed them up this way? I remember in most of the games I emulated with winuae, using the fast forward during load times would usually mess up the game.

>> No.745791

all games, besides maybe late stuff like t-zero and alien breed 3d load up quickly, sometimes there is black screen for few seconds but that's all, turrican loads levels in like second or two

what's the best amiga emu for Android and is it worth it?

>> No.745942

>>745825
there are two, droidpuae and puae for android. both are practically abandoned at this point but work better than whatever is avaiable at android store.

droidpuae doesn;t support sound but it's well optimized. it's a bitch to configure.

puae on the other hand emulates sound but it's also horrible to configure and needs a powerful device.

so, no it's not worth it. there are some android ports of the games tho: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.copecom.bsone&hl=pl this one from original devs

swiv, turrican series, banshee, cannon fodder, flashback, another world, it came from desert, lemmings, pinball dreams/fantasy, reunion, stunt car racer, syndicate, toki, wings, wolfchild... those are my favourites at least.

of course some of the classics aged horribly, some of the ports are less than stellar (battletoads, ghost n goblins), but hey, that's what we've got back then. for people who played those back in the days it;s a nostalgia trip, for all the rest chance to see a different game design and probably completely unknown titles. i can only hope someone who have never seen an amiga or heard about it will discover something new.
