That's because the Castlevania fandom in general is insufferable. Most of them don't actually want to have an honest discussion and are really in it to just fling shit at everyone elses' games. Rondofags are especially obnoxious because they have a real tendency to call their game the best classic game if not best CV game period, even though there's plenty of room to criticize it and argue that it may be one of the weaker entries, even. But just you wait, someone will probably swoop in and say I'm wrong, make vague references to better gameplay that can easily argued if not refuted even, with a side comment about Rondo being prettier.

X68000fags will never mention how that game in particular has a lot of vertical sections with stairs and enemies who can potshots at you because you don't carry the axe with you 24/7. I'd probably take X68000 over IV because it does more of what I like than IV, but I don't bullshit myself about its or the other games' pros and cons.
