I'll be 21 this August. My parents will on occasion say they are proud, I don't know if they mean it. I've always tried to never give them a reason to be ashamed of me, so I've always strived to not be a NEET. Got out of high school and became a carpenter helper for a while. Then I went and worked with my father and earned some money. I am no longer working, but I am in college. Currently working towards a Tech. Certificate in Electrical/Electronics fundamentals and I am eyeing a welding class they are offering in their corporate training and continuing education program. I am also interested in their Architectural Tech. Certificate.

There is a technical school that teaches carpentry but it is incredibly expensive, 6K for the entire program plus 1K for books and whatnot. The 6K is pretty much what I have in my savings and I have bills like my phone bill and car insurance plus car maintenance so the tech school is a no-go

I like some retro games, mainly the ones I played as a kid like Pac-Man World, the 2000's GTA trilogy (hard to believe they are retro now), and some other old games right from time to time. I bought myself Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 Final Mix for the PS4 (despite the fact that I shouldn't be spending money like that, but hey) since I wanted to play KH2 again. I would play fewer video games and focus on my hobbies but since I don't have the funds or space I usually play video games, watch movies, and watch some anime on Saturday nights.

Also, for anyone interested in a cool car that is not too cheap and is reliable. I recommend the 1991 Toyota Carolla. Good gas mileage and decent speed for a small engine. It's my first and only car I have ever owned so admittedly I don't have any other vehicle to compare it to. I'd like a good pick-up truck to do woodworking but I would keep the Carolla.
Pic related is not my car but it is my car, if you know what I mean

32, and my parents are proud. For Christmas I bought my Dad an everdrive for his N64. It's uncanny how many of those people look exactly the same.
