Hey, guys. This summer I'm going away to a family trip, that means I'll be away from my game collection. I've heard about these cool emulator handhelds and I thought about buying one in the Spring got any recommendations?
Prefer something that I can add roms in, has an analog stick and is under a 100

No clue about the off brand systems, I don't bother with them and frankly I don't consider them retro. If you're looking for game recommendations then what sort of genre or style are you looking for?

I saw a little boy and his sister play with these at a store the other day when i was lined to pay. The audio didn't seem off and seemed fairly resiliant considering it was young kids. Seemed good enough, anon.

Nothing from a China-based "company." Case in point, your OP image:

if you have an android phone, consider downloading retroarch and buy a telescoping bluetooth controller.

The chink handhelds in the OP go for less than 20 bucks, have at least 100 famicom/nes games on them (they do tend to repeat) and hold a charge for a long time (USB).
Buy two different styles of them for maximum variation and bombs away you've got hundreds of portable nes games.

depending on the phone you have you can get a controller grip and play that way. Otherwise I'd say get a GBA and a flashcart.

They feel bit cheap to me, but then again so do all the 3rd party chinkshit controllers kiddos here rave about so I guess excellent quality by zoomer standards. The down side to these is that there's no SD slot, so you can't just load on whatever you want. The up side is that appears to be because it's a NoaC with the a tiny multicart solderd to the board. I guess that's also a downside if you wanted the lag and frame skipping an emulator would give you. The nicest thing about these is they're five bucks. You really can't go wrong with something that plays "400" (I guess about 300) games for that price.
