Thought about posting this in /v/, but then I remember a better board existed!

Just aquired this lovely piece of hardware, and was wondering what games you guys reccoommend for it. Looking for things other than Star Fox, Mario, Etc (the essentials).

Also, where is the best place/site to get games, controllers, and accessories for it?

Word of advice. Lubricate the analogue stick or it will grind itself to shit.

You'll likely be replacing the sticks with non-standard ones. Even worse, replacing it with the bloody Gamecube stick. Preserving the existing sticks is a good idea. So long as you don't use a plastic-eating lubricant, you'll be fine.

White lithium grease is generally recommended. It won't fix a worn stick, but it will drastically slow down the wear on a stick in good condition.

Well, that, NFL Blitz 2000, and Gauntlet Legends (unless you have Dark Legacy on PS2 and a multitap).

I would advise avoiding the FPS's though. Going back to Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini, or even Turok after playing so long with such better modern control schemes is just awful. That seems to be an unpopular opinion though so maybe try them out anyway.

And assuming you're over the age of 12, avoid Conker. Besides, it's fucking expensive.

Gauntlet Legends. Arguably the best version of the game, since it has toggleable powerups and various other nifty features.

Vigilante 8. Also arguably the better version of the game, due to having an extra level and can display in a higher resolution than the PSX version.

Tony Hawk 1 and 2 are worth getting if you don't have the PSX version or the XBox version of THPS2X. The only downgraded thing is the music, but even then it's not horrible.

Also, get a Hori pad. It's easily the best controller for 99% of games on the N64, the only games I'd recommenced using the original controller for if you have one of these are games that use the D-Pad over the control stick.
