Post your Caesar 3 patrician housing please.

Playing for first time in ages, and getting hang of evolving houses into stable villas using a block pattern. (Also I like keeping buildings with their front facing the road.)

i loved the game but 2 things killed it for me in the end
1) walk paths of different workers are retarded, and to build a good city you're forced to work around their retardedness. you can potentially exploit them and build huge cities which you otherwise wouldnt be able to. the granary cart just defies logic. market ladies are just stupid and walk seemingly where they want to.
2) as long as a building has access to any house, even if there's just 1 person living there, and you have spare workers somewhere in your city, the hiring guy who will come near that house will find workers there. even if they needed 100 people. it makes the game more manageable but its just retarded.
if they fixed this, it'd be a GOAT city building sim.

market ladies annoying as hell, i just end up putting 5-8 marks in an area as the only way to stop houses devolving.

Use any given mod that provides you with roadblocks and unified labour pool. Julius is the most popular one.
However, using it exposes how retardedly easy Caesar 3 really was, since the entire difficulty in that game came from brain-dead walkers and no ability - beyond massive gates - to control them.

I don't mind the aging population so much, as it helps fit in more people without large unemployment later on the city

pretty much this. i was 8yo or so when i first played the game, i was amazed but i sucked at it. i re-visited it years later, had a blast finally figuring it out... then i realized it was basically a game about controlling retarded workers' paths, like they were some trains going on rails of sorts, except the trains turn wherever the fuck they want at any crossing. the paths are never explained in game, and you'd have to lurk on forums to basically just read about the workers' AI. this lack of control was infuriating, and i just quit

its not politics
Rome is simply more aesthetic and roman culture was the foundation of western culture. ancient roman and greek architecture looks magnificient too.
i dont care about some filthy gooks picking rice and eating dogs living in bamboo huts.
