sage for not retro but I had to mention that Mario's electrocution death in Super Mario Galaxy looked shockingly grim to me. He's fucking skeletonized and falls into a pile of dead bones. Fuck's sake, people, even if it's cartoony you need to make that a little less explicit in terms of YEP HE DIED, HIS FLESH HAS BEEN BURNED AWAY

I know King's Field(technically the second one) was rated T, but man that game could be creepy.

The first time I died I felt really bad for the guy. The screams in this game are bloodcurdling, or at least they were at the time.

Especially that giant squid, man.

The guy in the video also dies and you can hear for yourself.

>> No.730453 [DELETED]

Polite sage for not retro, but motherfucking Second Sight. That game had a T rating and I have no fucking clue what was going through ESRB's head. It had graphic violence, nihilistic apathy as a main plot device, and using telekinesis to shoot dismembered bodies across rooms.

>> No.730464

Did anyone or their parents in here actually pay attention to ratings? Might as well expose your kids to what real life is like firsthand else they'll go through life thinking life is a wonderful magical place full of unicorns and butterflies. I was murdering people in GTA at a very young age. I don't ever feel the need to go out in real life and kill people. I feel that stupid people should be sent to live on an island somewhere and shouldn't be allowed to breed, though.

My family did care about the ratings, but my parents allowed me to buy Metal Gear Solid when I was 13 because they thought I was mature enough to play it. I'm personally fine with the ESRB and stores having policies about M and A games being restricted.

Advocating eugenics (which really is what you're suggesting) is morally reprehensible. Even though some people are stupid, disabled, malformed. 'genetically inferior' or some other drivel you spout to make yourself feel superior, every human should be entitled to the right to breed. No society should prevent certain individuals from producing offspring, because that is not their right. I don't know how smart you think you are, but you are clearly not a moral person and should never be given serious consideration.

And the greentext comes out. I believe what he's referring to is the kantian notion of inherent dignity that comes with the reasonable assumption of individuals as rational agents, equivalent to one's self, which is an objective form of morality. Sage for not on topic.

Guys, just ignore Mr. Edge

On topic;
>You walk past rotting corpses in the first scene.
>When hit, zombies' arms fall off.
>Hellhound turns inside out and squirms before burning away.
>Bisected corpses hang from some of the ceilings dripping blood.
And that's all in the first level.
Other noteworthy things are the fact that you can decapitate Harpies (filling the screen with a rain of gore) and the blood fountain at Versailles.
