I think it's hilarious X is so low considering Xfags always put it at the top. I always said the reason it's rated so highly by Xfags is because it was one of their first games, on the ps2, and obviously it was extremely impressive at the time.

X is literally the same game as 13 except with a different cast and motivation(but still both about religion-ish). You even go in a straight line until you get into a big field at the end in both! Yet XIII is an abomination while X is the greatest thing ever.

I like X but the difference in how those games are viewed when they're the same game always amused me. I think even a lot of X devs worked on XIII and set off to make one in that mold.

IMO XIII is X without most of the things that make X good. XIII's world feels so flat and lifeless compared to Spira.

Just saying that they both have the same gameplay loop and general plot doesn't take into account the actual writing and execution anyway. You could say the same thing about Grand Theft Auto San Andreas vs Saints Row 1 but one game is obviously superior to the other.
