No way? I bought it for like $8

Shut the fuck up
Please just shut up
I watched some of there videos on it and couldn't fuckin stand it. They don't even know how to play, and skipped the tutorial level (the well was right in fuckin front of them) that is almost required because of how complicated the controls are.

You got ripped off, it's still less than $5.

To be fair, the game is a piece of shit, and they clearly have been putting off this one for a while and are probably only putting it out at all because people apparently won't stop sending them the damn game.

I wonder why it's so cheap. Really good nostalgia material and it's a pretty fun game, usually something with those qualities would be going for at least $20

I bought the PSX version recently. Doesn't seem very fun at all.

Glover is the opposite of fun.

I found this game when I went to visit my parents and gave it another shot. Immediately went to my retro game shop and donated it. How the fuck did I play it as a kid?

They make a habit out of skipping tutorials. Jon in particular.
I hope it's mostly putting on an act for the show, because it was fucking embarrassing in Milky Way Wishes.

Also because sometimes they apparently play the tutorials offscreen because watching them play tutorials can be embarrassing and boring.

I think them being utterly retarded about games and then saying the game sucks is more embarassing and boring.

I stopped watching when it became 90% Sonic '06 and single episodes of awful games that people were sending them, and after they revealed how completely retarded they are (specifically Ego saying blasting from barrel to barrel in DKC2 is trial-and-error).

Goof Troop is still pretty fun, though watching them solve puzzles is a fucking nightmare.

The Grant story about how he mailed them a signed copy of Banjo-Kazooie and told them to forward it was pretty hilarious.

"zomg dey skipping tutoryals"
This seems to be a recurring complaint about the Grumps. I honestly don't care what they do, as long as it's entertaining. I would never watch the show as a Let's Play, the same way people don't watch 300 for historical accuracy. No one complains on other Let's Plays when someone fucks up. Why is this? Why can't people just take it at face value?

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's Arin Hanson to be completely honest. They can be annoying sometimes though, yeah.

Because there's nothing entertaining about watching them run around in circles whining about how bad the game is because they don't pay attention, then they quit good games after 3 episodes for no reason.

>> No.728623

I'm defending them because I like them as people. I think they do know their shit when you get past the "hurr telling jokes on the internet". If you're jumping on the mindless hate bandwagon please see yourself out to >>>/v/

>> No.728631

>>728623

I can understand possibly liking Jon as a person, because while he may not stand up for his own opinions, he still has a sense of innocence around him that's pretty endearing.

Arin however is a big cunt who squanders good opportunities and talks shit like he knows everything.

I'm not saying they're perfect. I never said they were - and I admit that there are a LOT of poor episodes. But take for instance Ragequit on Roosterteeth. The entertainment comes from the person behind the screen, not what's happening on the screen. They're reactions to shit in-game is what keeps the views coming in.

>> No.728634

>I honestly don't care what they do, as long as it's entertaining

That's the problem: they aren't entertaining.

>>728632

Yeah but I certainly wouldn't want to hang out with Arin.

Furthermore it DOES irritate me to no end when they're shit at a game and put the blame on it instead of themselves. Then there was everything about Secret of Mana, and christ I can't believe they never blocked in Kirby Superstar

>> No.728636

I like physics games, especially Glover. I like the way you need to commit to all the moves you make and only have yourself to blame for mistakes.

>> No.728650

>>728635
What keeps the views coming in is that they routinely pump out a bunch of videos daily, and there are plenty of bored idiots on Youtube that want something new that they can play in the background. It's quantity, not quality.

Dude, if you honestly can't see why people wouldn't like Game Grumps, I don't know what to tell you. Stop making up claims like, "You only hate it because it's the cool thing to do...mindless hate bandwagon".
All this show has done is given me a fairly entertaining Goof Troop run, and it made me realize that I don't really like Ego anymore.

I think it's a silly complaint too and I agree with you 100%. The only problem is: they're not entertaining.

>> No.728684

I like them.

Though, I only watch them play bad games, because I have a similar problem as many people in this thread about them not being good at good games and blaming the game.

I like the commentary, and, like mentioned in this thread, I really put them on just for a background thing.
