How do you feel about retro game youtubers? I like that they keep old games relevant, but it's annoying when zoomers parrot their opinions instead of forming their own.

i am sick of avgn an nostalgia critic clones, that's what i think. That format is expired and pretty much every game of slight relevance already has dozens of videos on it with the same tired routines. ""Geek"" personas are very last decade.

Yeah, everyone shits on FF8 for the exact same reasons every single time and it started thanks 100% to memetubers. And don't get me started on people shitting on 3d Zeldas because of egoraptor.

Stuff like mandalore gaming and ssethtzeentach are alright. I think more impersonal formats like that are the way to go, with a more professional angle to the analisis rather than "why is there a loopty loop on a green hill???!!! Who came up with this!!?? this game is ASSSS"

I'm not sure what these opinions are, but the cast being largely unlikable and the stupid orphanage shit was dumb back when I first played the game in the early 2000s before anyone cared about review videos.
I'll agree that hating the game passionately is definitely some Zelda 2 style revisionism, though.

LGR has a nice voice and comfy atmosphere.
