Why is this so expensive on the Saturn?

Because shitty e-celebs overhyping the Saturn, which in turn created hoarders and scalpers that inflated the prices of Saturn games. Shit you not this game used to cost $60 back in like 2007.

I hear that guy Dave from GameSack owns the worlds only copy.

The Sega 32x game is weird. I'm not even sure if it is a good game or not. That's how I feel about the other two or three 32x platformers as well. Temp uses the Genesis hardware for the game playingfield tiles, so the game at least runs at 60fps. But then it uses the 32x for the sprites (they look nice) and psychedelic background layers. It is a great game to look at, and even has some funky audio. But as a platformer? I dunno, it feels like a 6 or 7 out of ten wrapped in a visual audio simulator. The game has "soul" for sure. It is a lot like Knuckles Chaotix. I love the use of the 32x in that game, and I like the concept. But the gameplay never got me.

There is also a Tempo Jr. that was released on the Japanese GameGear:

Some e-celeb probably called the game a hidden gem.

it's by the Bonk 1 and 2 director, but not as good

That makes a lot of sense now. It's still a unique game for the 32x.

Alright game I actually owned as a kid. Exploration collect-a-thons like that feel better when you're young and got the time to explore rather than rushing it. The controls are rather stiff and the score goals for the endings are broken, though.
