After quite a long wait, I have finished my second map.

For those that didn't see it the first time it was posted, It is another space station themed one (I love space station themed maps, hell as a kid I only played Episode 2 in Duke3D).

While it is finished in the sense that the level can be completed and the visual aspect is there, I still feel like it needs a bit of work in some of the fights so I was hoping that some of the more veteran mappers on the board could give me some advice as to fight tweaking and monster placement.

The map is normal, for the first part and looks like the the picture in the top left. The monster count looks normal too, it's like 200 and something.

I'm positive this map was just stolen by DKG from a doom /vr/ anon since I played the map a couple of months ago and the whole thing was a legitimate map.

Anyway, after you get into the second room, when you go to open the door the lights turn on, the texture is replaced by that no fun allowed robot but very badly. I wouldn't have known what it was if I hadn't seen it before. It says "NO FUN ALLOWED FAGGOTS" on the screen and starts blaring Our God Is An Awesome God at full blast with a computer screech underneath it and then the monster count jumps to 7000+.

After that my computer froze and stayed like that, wouldn't alt+f4 or alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del, I just had to restart the fucking thing.

So, Wave 3 of the shooter compilation torrent was finished about 2 days ago as complete as it will ever be , and I might add more to that section of the torrent later. LazyAnon, I need to receive an update on your completion of the other portions of the torrent, so I know what to begin working on next. Samsara uses custom versions of the standard Doom monsters to give them the ability to react properly to different attacks and give them and their attacks different properties. Nah, there's no additional sprite work - everything you need can be handled directly in the decorate code. At least, I didn't need to do anything extra for the Samsara version of MonsterMash. The ice death is just the generic one, the Duke gibs seem to always use a specific set meant for him, the Chex teleport effect is a generic one used on all monsters combined with a fade effect done through decorate, etc.

Most of the time, that's basically how they're meant to be used - overwhelm the player and force his attention away from projectile-throwing monsters in the distance. Basically a distraction force, in a way.

For Zandro... Uh, I'd go look at how Dook's mighty boot works in Samsara for an idea. You might also try some A_Blast tomfoolery, though whenever I tried to work with that it tended to result in both the player and the monster shoving eachother around to hilarious effect.

Also he's been banned several times. After hours of Multiplayer gaming with friends, I've finally got the stone imp projectiles working almost perfectly. They still bounce around, but they break when they hit you. The stone demon now explodes into little rocks like it did originally when I downloaded it from r667 when it dies. They don't do much damage, but they go everywhere.
