A lot of RPGs have casinos and gambling mini games, I think the most memorable one for me was the casino in Soul Hackers, where you can get some useful equipment as prizes.
In Dragon Quest III, there's a betting house where you can see 2 creatures (actual enemies from the game) fighting each other and you can bet money on one of them. It's especially fun when you play as the king and he loves going there.

Xenosaga casino minigames where fun

They should implement gambling sidegames more often they always go along with the main story and give more hours of gameplay.

I liked the way they did it on Dragon Quest, so fun and dragon ball like real life referencing...

FFVII also had a great gambling vibe with the Gold Saucer its so sad they actually didnt include a Vegas like experience but the minigames were fun and Chocobo races cool aswell

I liked Casino Kid for NES and Vegas Stakes for SNES. They were casino gambling games but they actually had stories.

I loved that as a kid too. It was like my first taste at an "open world". It's not, but as a kid I just liked walking around the casino with your dude's stupid walk cycle. It was a nice change from all those other games with timers.
