When I do listen to music it's either the gamechops shit, Unreal music, or the boneworks soundtrack, as of late.
Otherwise, a lot of classic rock. Not "POUR SOME SUGGGAAAR ON MEEEE" shit, but some Heart, 10CC, Blondie... etc...

I don't know. I was a GZ babby for years but I've been playing Crispy for the past few months and now smooth frames, wobky lighting and all that added jazz feels really fucked to me.

>>7241315
actually desu a big reason for me to not use it, in addition to "maps i play were made by creators that didn't intend you to use it", is ... it just looks bad. vertical look with these sprites that do not have alternatives for different vertical angles (only horizontal angles) just looks plain awful.

>> No.7241340

Let me guess you also use mouse and wasd too?

>> No.7241341

>>7241325
Yes. While it does make the iwads easier, it's basically required in modern maps

Outside of the rare occurrence that is a hit switch that is both visible and requires a specific height, no. Which you can, you know, not shoot beforehand. Not being adhered the horrible unpredictable whims of autoaim is such a release, why wouldn't you want to hit where you're actually aiming?

The biggest autoaim offender known to all is Alien Vendetta map14. Shooting rockets at the army of cacodemons? Congratulations, you just died because autoaim felt like it.
>>7241334
What an utterly petty reason, it's objectively more comfortable, accurate controls. More accuracy equals more positive feedback, the goal of a videogame. I rarely even notice sprite shenanigans because 99% of the time enemies aren't right up to my face.

It also depends on which renderer you're using, software for example straight up breaks and doesn't let you aim up or down completely.

>> No.7241346

>>7241334
>but that's just my taste, i'm okay with other people doing whatever they want

Call me Captain Autism here but people signalling they are ok with others playing differently has always bothered me. It feels fake. The notion that the way I experience and enjoy something is different from how someone else does it feels wrong. It feels like, because my tastes are the culmination of my experiences and what I have learned from them, a differentation signals either a lack of experience on my part (so as to not realize the superiority of the alternative) or the opposite, that the other person lacks perspective.

>> No.7241351

>>7241342
>aren't right up to my face.
While aiming straight up or down, for that matter. They're in front of me.

>> No.7241353

Yes. Go fast or go home.

>> No.7241357

>>7241342
You are forgetting that autoaim has a limited range and some enemies may be intentionally placed to take advantage of that. Plutonia comes to mind.

>Why would you not want to shoot where you are actually aiming?

Because autoaim is the method of aiming vertically intended by the developers and an improved alternative to it conveys an unintended advantage. I prefer to compensate for autoaim's behavior when fighting the cacos instead of, well, cheating to do so.

>more accuracy equals more positive feedback, the goal of a videogame

I couldn't disagree more. I don't think controls being cumbersome are a flaw at all, they are a challenge to overcome.
