Lets talk about BG2 i love this game so god damn much. Im in Underdark now playing EE and have time of my life. My team:
>Me(paladin)
>Minsc
>Aerie(my fucktoy)
>Mazzy
>Imoen(im waiting to pick up Yoshimo back)
Got bored with mini-maxing and trying some old school roleplay route this time

I haven't played since I did an ironman run of 1+2 (was a Blade). But I'll be back to it eventually. Baldur's Gate is by far my favorite RPG of all time and nothing is even close. So many fun gameplay options.

He does if you leave him before jumping on the ship, sadly no more dialog options between character from him for obvious reason.
I was thinking about joining some niche NPC i never had buy who? I used to play bad teams since they had bwst stats

Jan is great, he fits well into both good and evil parties, and he's also the best thief in the game
other than that i guess you could take Haer'dalis or Keldorn, both good characters from a powergaming and personality standpoint, also don't get fooled by Haer'dalis' stats, him being able to use mage protection spells makes him the best tank companion in the game

I had both Jan and Hear' Dalis buy i really liked Keldorn quests, especially im a paladin myself now. Maybe ill join him when ill finish this section of a game. I always play 5 chars tho, 6 seems a bit too many and i always get feeling one character is unused, just standing in the back doing fuckall

i feel like having less than 6 characters in your party is a waste of a playthrough, since you're missing out on a lot of banter between characters, but i can understand why you would choose use less than 6 since controlling a full party can be abit of a hassle, although i like it because it makes the games more challenging, having less characters in your party actually makes the game easier
you could get Korgan too i guess if your reputation isn't too high, he has some really good dialogue with Mazzy but iirc he can make Aerie leave the party, it can be avoided with a high charisma i believe but i'm not 100% sure
Valygar has some great dialogue with Mazzy too, if you want to keep your party all good

if you've never interacted with EE companions then keep your purity untainted, beamdog's OC donutsteel NPCs are absolute trash, but yeah she's pretty damn bad, if you're playing the EE's you should get the mod that removes beamdog NPC's from the game

She's a nigress with an attitude and her levels are bland, but it's not the worst storyline in existence.
I made a savefile and returned to it after beating the game because her bullshit is really distracting. Dropped it though because it wasn't very captivating.

She's a nigress with an attitude is abit of an understatement, all of the banter beamdog wrote between her and other character has her verbally dominating the character she's conversing with and always coming out as the "victor", very obnoxious
