second, i said that you were trained to grab and grip a controller at all times with all 4 fingers. that was never necessary before or after. the nes/snes/genesis/wii classic/sony controller all play fine. im imagining some american getting into "retro gaming" (and mistaking a playstation for retro because it was made before their first console, the xbox 360) and getting really mad their fingers dont wrap around the bottom of a dualshock. obviously not, retard. no, not even children's hands wrap around the bottom of a dualshock. over 300 milion systems managed to play just fine despite this though. they must've all bought madcatz controllers.

You keep proving my point, those fatass burger hands have their palms hovering over those buttons. While your left thumb rests on the thumbstick, your left hand covers up the back/start buttons and to hit them you have to either awkwardly bend your left thumb inward or take your thumb off the stick to pierce them.
It's just so unnatural and goes against the rules established by literally every good controller in history. The start button is always, ALWAYS in the center of the controller, even Microsoft themselves got it right the first time. So of all the things to change from the Duke, why the FUCK did they move the start button to the left HANDLE?
And then there's the fucking black/white buttons. They moved those to the fucking handle too? WHY?!? That just totally fucks with all the games released prior where they were above B and Y, not to mention white was moved below black too. And then they forced the face buttons into a soulless perfect diamond formation which feels so much worse than the Duke's curved buttons that fit perfectly with the angle of your thumb.
Why couldn't they have made the 360 controller a gen early? That's what the Cuntroller S should have fucking been in the first place.

>Sony is anti-consumer
I 100% agree, but if you say Sony is anti-consumer and use the controller as an example you're a moron. Seriously, you're using the one thing Sony did right as an example for why they're shit.

Besides, they moved the analog feature from the face buttons to the triggers. Why do you think all the car games used the triggers for gas/brakes?

ds2 had analog shoulder buttons as well. they didnt move anything, just removed features.

What's the criteria for red and green here, exactly? I don't get it. There are other controllers shown there that also have the thumbs at different heights / angles from each other.

Also, the Wii Classic and Wii Classic Pro controllers aren't shown, which use the same layout as Dualshocks. Nor is the Wii U Pro controller, which also has symmetrical sticks.

>> No.7214738

In the green the left thumb is in the axis of the hand / arm to plays at 3D games which use stick and 2D games which use d-pad
Ergonomics.

In red the thumb makes an angle with the arm.
Not ergonomics.

I realise this is /vr/ but the Xbox One controller is my favourite out of all of them, will probably like the Series X as well since it's more or less the same. Old controllers I have absolutely hated include the PS3 and Gamecube.
I'd probably hate the PS1 and 2 controllers if I went back, but I was only 10 when the PS2 came out so it's size wasn't an issue.
I hated the GBA SP as well.
