I feel like Ps2 and late 90's PC games were from two days ago but in 99-2000 something like Atari, the NES or even 16 bits consoles felt like ancient history. You could say it's because how time was perceived but I'm also sure in those years videogame technology just rushed like never before. In 99 a 96 game felt kinda "old" while today I have no idea if a game was released in 2015 or yesterday.
