Watch Miyamoto fanboys come in here and claim he never said 96 levels despite photo evidence.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm not sure it will make a difference, the NPCs probably just scoff everytime you post it

kek so that's where the 96 comes from, what a fraud

2 aka not-even-really-a-Mario is best. Did Miyamoto even have anything to do with Doki Doki Panic?

>> No.7174385

>>7173000
Trufax and trips, however no one wants to hear the truth - Miyamoto is a talentless faggot that got very, very, very lucky.

>> No.7174531

>>7174376
To set the record straight, after the success of SMB1, Miyamoto wanted to try a vertically-scrolling platformer on the platform as well. At the time, Nintendo had likely brought the SMB1 team together again to create a faceless prototype (like how Splatoon was for a while) which would later be reskinned into Doki Doki Panic after Fuji TV reached out to them. WSMB2 is not just a reskin of Doki Doki Panic either. There's additional music, an additional boss, and the staple run feature wasn't in Doki Doki Panic originally. If Japan had the courage to release WSMB2 over there, then I think it should be at least considerable that WSMB2 might be the real one.

Why are SMW zoomies like this?

>> No.7175725

>>7174385
Everyone back then was lucky. They just happened to be working at toy or software companies when the floodgate opened and got in at the ground floor. Miyamoto is trained in industrial design, which is the exact skillset you'd need to make physical toys, which is what Nintendo did. He applied that skill to design his earliest video games by literally drawing out the game on graph paper like a blueprint.

A shit load of game dev staff aren't programmers and even some of the ones who are don't fill that role anymore. You think Ed Boon is coding modern Mortal Kombats?
