There use to be threads for this when /vr/ was new. Anyone still use this? Backloggery friend trade thread?

Finally going to sit down and take a stab at Earthbound since I just beat Yoshi's Island(amazing game). What retro games are you currently playing?

http://www.backloggery.com/sryth

>> No.716396

I'm guessing no one really still uses this. It's a shame since it was fun to talk to other /vr/ bros about old retro vidya they were currently playing.

>> No.716421

i'm sure a ton of people still use it, but i've got backlog.txt sitting on my desktop and that's more than enough for me. backloggery is a bit meta for me

Why, I do use it.

http://backloggery.com/Sorrento

But I've been feeling rather lazy to fill it out. I keep going back to it from time to time, adding some videogames and then I get bored. There are still quite a number of games that I'm missing on that list.

I'm currently playing Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius, but I haven't bothered adding it yet.

I have my own list in an spreadsheet; lets me have a bit more freedom.

First number is times beaten; second is rating. The weird rating scale there is 0-3; 0-1=two/one thumbs down; 2-3=one/two thumbs up. I like starting from 0 because shit games deserve no fucking points.

The games in the middle are currently playing; the ones way off to the right are just dropped. Sometimes you just gotta let go.

Pounding away at System Shock 2 right now. I'm missing a black egg, and also am trying to find some sort of access card (Where is it?!) for the deck.
Doom64 is just whenever I wanna shoot crap.
Startopia is when I'm feeling "micromanage-y".
SMBRPG is at a stopping point because of those fucking Axem Rangers. Everyfucking time Black gets like 20 turns in a row and I haven't quite mastered my timing for an Ultra Jump.

This thread reminded me to blow the cobwebs and dust off my Backloggery and re-add all the recent games I've been playing for better or for worse -- the ones I resolve to beat this year -- instead of only the ones I've been effortlessly traipsing through as I've been doing.

http://www.backloggery.com/valcaron

Still... I have way too many long-ass RPGs I've yet to play. I might have time for all of them if I ever win the Lottery.

For retro, I'm getting close to beating The Secret of Monkey Island. Non-retro, very close to Muramasa: The Demon Blade. The latter will probably be beaten by tomorrow.

Other than that, I actually spent more time this weekend adding games to my list of shit I want to play next. The ride never ends.

I like video games.
Not really retro but playing through Viewtiful Joe 2 Ultra-V rated right now, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction because I like pain.
