Yes there are choices, goals, and it takes time for her to level up random things.

It does not feel linear as for me my goals are like number one filled then five then six, not specifically, but filling her goal thing is kinda random for me.

but there is also fishing of which is more like flying in a sub and looking for treasures that seem to activate her and such. Also in a mine she kinda runs around but that's not fun so much as a maze puzzle. Not sure what's the point of being down there other than 'job as mine worker.

I've not played through it. Nor read about it. I now you can fuck up and her wide range of responses are for lonely pepole. I tried to get her to wash herself and she was afraid of cold water nad if you do it wrong she gets low self esteem then refuses whle being all 'lazy'. I reset and trieda gaina nd did it in a different order, making her wash her face first and saying she became more pretty first rather than answering her question of "is that smell coming from me" as yes, of which sends her over the edge. Too direct I guess.

Teaching her can be pretty gay when at the start she's all *eats book* FIBERFORTHEBODY and *EH* while happily tossing and kicking items you give her for not knowing what it's for. "This item strengthens the legs?" *puts pot on head and walks forward* THEBALANCECIRCUITHASLEINCREASED or whatever she says with just about any object.

also I've seen contradictions to her itelligence where things happen a bit out of order. She'll mention a log to cross before you find any log to cross if you strengthen the legs first. Or, before knowing what love is she says she loves player-san/name. Or I taught her to use a thing and she'll still fail half way like with cooking while sucking at it or cleaning while not remembering what clean is even though she already made the connection to the sweeper.

Anyway, she's slow and the game is not perfect but is funny, sad, serious themes, and cute.
