What /vr/ games had the best physics?

I nominate Gimmick. That had sick physics.

Glover had pretty good ones as well apparently for bouncing the ball.

>> No.7059331

Obvious nomination goes to Sonic the Hedgehog. Momentum in those games were killer.

Puggsy on the Megadrive was remarkable in being one of the early games to have a physics engine.

Ecco the Dolphin, once you get a hang of it, plays very well. There's a great momentum and speed to Ecco, it's a lot of fun leaping out of the water (unless the obstacle you're trying to clear is a bit *too* high up like in the Atlantis levels in the first game, but that wasn't a problem in Tides of Time). I would have liked to see more levels take advantage of Ecco's physics, I think there's untapped potential.

Maybe not the best, but Exile for the BBC Micro was one of the earliest games with more advanced physics.

>Exile contains a physics model with gravity, inertia, mass, explosions, shockwaves, water, earth, wind, and fire. The game engine simulates all three of Newton's laws of motion, with many puzzles and gameplay elements emerging from a few physical principles. For example, the player may experience difficulty when attempting to lift a heavy boulder across a windy shaft with a jet pack, or of trying to keep a glass of water from spilling while being pushed around by a pestering bird.

How is it a pedo game, like at all ? Last time I checked, its just a platformer.

I nominate San Francisco Rush 2049 on N64. The driving physics were great for the time

I liked Puggsy a lot, played it as a demo with Columns on some old cartridge. I liked all the interesting items you could get, I think the same development team made Wiz N' Liz, one of my other favourite games.
