Yikes opinion. 1 is an outstanding platform with the best music of the bunch, 3 is literally a handful of multiplayer maps with embarassing missions which recycles said maps; it does have some redeeming points like Aquatos, or the weapons upgrades/variety. 2 however is the soft-spot between 1 and 3: everything is nailed. Story, planets, weapons, upgrades, gadgets, space combat are all great -- and it even includes two whole planets where you collect crystals (which is unironically ludo). It's considered among many the best chapter in the series for good reasons. We don't talk about the bosses though.

I really don't see how this is a good point. One is a big empty desert the other is a big empty tundra. A dev could've designed that on his lunch break. 3 also had a shit crystal collecting mission but it's really hard to say which is worse: big empty plains of nothing or a big sewer.
