>Still don't have a copy of Mario 64 for some reason
>Check ebay, should be pretty cheap because who the fuck didn't own a copy, didn't it come bundled with most 64s?
>Loose copies going for about $16 - 20 each
I'm pretty damn confused right now.

Really? I hope you're correct on this one.

Pretty sure it was never bundled (at least when it was current) but yeah fuck this shit.

Sellers only care about the demand of a game. Mario 64 is a game everyone with an N64 wants, so they jack up the prices.

At least the hipsters are skipping over the Genesis in favor of nintendo shit.

It's because it has amazing boxes. You can throw away a bit of cardboard without a second thought, but a chunky plastic box? No chance.

I really don't know on this one. I noticed it was like $25 at my local Play n Trade, gf was thinking about buying it and I told her not to do it, it can't be that high elsewhere. Went online at home to prove it, but lo and behold...

Most of the other N64 games are relatively cheap except for a few uncommon titles (which compared to other systems, aren't that bad either). I'm assuming this one is just demand because Mario

videogamepricecharting. the dollar values tend to be a tad bit high, but the general trend of the game is pretty much right.

and i don't think it's that ridiculous that Mario 64 is $20 in this market. It's one of the best games on the system, highly demanded. The N64 is pretty much the best system ever in terms of staying power thanks to it's multiplayer (i'd be willing to bet it's the most-played non-current-gen system. i dont know why you wouldnt have Mario 64 already, but that's beside the point.)
I mean it's normally like a $15 game. not too bad.

>>704117
auctions for EarthBound have been very slowly falling from the ridiculous $200 they were a couple weeks ago. if you check every day there's a pretty good shot you could grab a copy for like $150. hopefully it continues to fall, but of course there are always the plenty of faggots listing it for BIN $200+

SNES is at the very top of it's bubble right now, expect N64 prices to start the bubble phase soon.

>> No.706931

Anything Nintendo must be gold because Sega Genesis games are going for a couple of dollars on eBay, with boxes and everything.

Pokemon games with drained batteries and picked apart labels, $20, makes no sense. I saw a Mario Sunshine loose disc sell for $10. Even SNES shovelware games are overpriced.

>> No.707253

>>706931
There's a couple reasons for this.

1. Nintendo games had flimsy packaging which people threw away; therefore, it's easy to lose Nintendo games over time compared to Genesis games which begged to kept in those awesome plastic boxes.
2. Who's more popular and well known right now, Mario or Sonic? Thought so. Same applies to Legend of Zelda and Pokémon.
3. On that note, there's a -crazy- amount of Sonic trilogy ports that have come out on multiple systems, forcing the games to go down in price.
4. Of the 3 sixth gen systems, Gamecube was decidedly the least popular in it's lifetime, and even though it had a great library, the system's lack of popularity, plus the fact everyone owns a Wii, makes Gamecube games valuable.
